Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern the relationship between Lingzhiying Technology Limited and every customer, trade seller, supplier and visitor who uses the device revival bench at Rm 721 7/F Liven Hse, 61-63 King Yip St, Kwun Tong, Hong Kong - 999077, Hong Kong (HK) or the website at https://www.lingzhitech.buzz. By submitting a device for intake, by approving a scope note, by accepting a trade-in valuation or by using the website, you agree to these terms. Please read them in full before you hand over a device. If any part is unclear, ask the bench desk before you sign the intake sheet.
1. About These Terms
These terms form a binding agreement between you and Lingzhiying Technology Limited. They describe what the bench does, what we expect from you, what you can expect from us and how disagreements are handled. They apply together with the intake sheet that is completed at the counter and with any written scope note issued for your ticket. Where the intake sheet and these terms conflict, the intake sheet controls for the specific item, because that sheet records the instruction you actually gave.
The firm operates within computer systems design and related professional services, and the bench is its working environment. Nothing on the website or in these terms is a promise that a particular repair will always be possible. Devices vary, parts supply varies, and the honest position is that the bench will tell you what it finds rather than what you hoped to hear.
2. Definitions
In these terms, the firm means Lingzhiying Technology Limited. The bench means the revival workshop and its stations. The website means the pages served at https://www.lingzhitech.buzz. A device means any tablet, handheld, dock kit or related item submitted for examination. A ticket means the record opened at intake and identified by a batch mark. A scope note means the written description of approved work and its price band. A valuation means the written figure offered for a device under the trade-in service.
3. Eligibility and Authority
You must be at least eighteen years old, or have the involvement of a parent or guardian, to submit a device under these terms. By submitting a device, you confirm that you own it or that you have the clear authority of the owner to authorise the work, including any data handling instruction. Where a device is owned by a company, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that company.
If we have reasonable doubt about ownership or authority, the bench may pause the work and ask for evidence. We may also decline an intake where a device appears to have been obtained unlawfully or where accepting it would place the firm in conflict with a legal obligation. A refusal at intake is not a judgement about you; it is a control that protects everyone who uses the bench.
4. Services and Scope
The bench provides six services: tablet revival benches, handheld test rigs, dock kit rebuilds, screen polish cycles, battery health passes and trade-in valuations. These are described in more detail on the services page. A device may pass through one station or several, depending on what the measurements show.
Work is performed only within the approved scope. If, during the work, the bench discovers a second fault that was not visible at intake, the operator will stop and contact you with a revised scope note. We will not perform additional chargeable work without your approval, and we will not quietly substitute a different approach in order to keep a timeline.
Some faults cannot be resolved without replacing a major component, and some cannot be resolved at all within an economic budget. In those cases the bench will explain the position, offer the realistic options and let you decide whether to continue. A diagnostic fee may apply where work has been carried out to reach that conclusion, and the fee will have been stated before the work began.
5. Intake and Tagging
Every device is photographed, weighed and tagged at intake. The intake sheet records the visible condition at the door, the accessories received and the instruction you gave about data. Please check the sheet before you sign it. The photographs taken at intake are the reference for any later discussion about a mark or a scratch, and they protect both sides.
Please remove any protective case, memory card, SIM card or accessory that is not part of the repair unless you have agreed otherwise. We will list what you leave with the device, but we cannot accept responsibility for an item that was not recorded on the sheet. Where a device arrives with a swollen battery, the bench may isolate it immediately for safety and will explain the isolation step to you.
6. Quotations and Approvals
A quotation is valid for the period stated on the scope note, typically fourteen days, because parts prices and availability move. Approval must be given in writing, by email or by signature on the scope note. An oral approval is accepted only where the bench confirms it back to you in writing before the work proceeds.
If you decline a quotation, the device is returned in the condition recorded at intake, apart from any diagnostic access that was necessary to prepare the quotation. We will explain any diagnostic access that was performed so that there are no surprises at collection.
7. Payments and Invoices
Payment is due at collection unless a written arrangement has been agreed in advance. The bench accepts the payment methods listed at the counter and will provide a receipt for every payment. Where an invoice is issued to a business customer, the payment period is stated on the invoice and late payment may pause further work on other tickets.
Prices are quoted in Hong Kong dollars unless the scope note states otherwise. Any applicable tax is shown separately. Where a courier is used, delivery charges are added only with your agreement. A deposit may be requested for parts that must be ordered specially, and the deposit will be credited against the final invoice.
If a repair is abandoned because a part cannot be sourced, any deposit paid for that part is refunded in full, and any work already completed is charged at the rate stated in the scope note.
8. Turnaround and Delays
Turnaround estimates are given in good faith. A straightforward tablet pass with a battery check and a polish cycle usually takes two to three working days once the scope is approved. Parts orders and board level attention can extend that period. The bench will contact you if an estimate is likely to slip, and will give a revised date rather than a vague assurance.
The bench is closed on Sundays and on public holidays in Hong Kong. Time spent waiting for your approval is not counted against the turnaround estimate. Weather, transport disruption and supplier failure can also affect timing, and those events are dealt with under the force majeure section below.
9. Data Instructions and Wipes
Your data instruction is recorded at intake and is treated as part of the approved scope. Where you ask for data to be preserved, we will avoid any step that could erase it and, where the device boots, we may offer a verified image before components are disturbed. Where you ask for the device to be wiped, the wipe is performed as a separate confirmed step.
You are responsible for keeping your own backup before you submit a device. A repair can fail even when care is taken, and a device that does not boot cannot be backed up by the bench. We will tell you at intake if we believe a repair carries a risk to data, but the final decision to proceed is yours.
Where a device is beyond economic repair and you choose not to have it returned, we will ask for explicit permission before any data is destroyed. Without that permission, the device is held for collection or returned to you in the condition recorded at intake.
10. Trade-In Valuations
A valuation is based on the readings the bench takes: cosmetic grade, battery curve, dock seating force and panel clarity. The figure is offered for the device in the condition measured at the time of the valuation. It is not a promise about the market price elsewhere, and it is not binding on you until you accept it in writing.
Where you accept a valuation, you confirm that the device is yours to sell and that it is free of any claim, lien or financing arrangement. Ownership transfers to the firm only when the device is handed over and the acceptance is recorded. Where you decline, the device goes home with its valuation sheet and no pressure attached.
A valuation may be revised if the device is not in the condition presented at the counter, or if a hidden fault is discovered during the bench check. In that case the revised figure and the reason are explained to you before anything changes hands.
11. Uncollected Devices
We ask you to collect a finished device within thirty days of the collection notice. The bench is a working room with limited storage, and holding uncollected devices for a long period takes space from other customers. We will send a reminder after fourteen days and a second reminder after thirty days.
If a device remains uncollected ninety days after the collection notice, the firm may charge a reasonable storage fee for the period beyond the free window. If a device remains uncollected after one hundred and eighty days, and reasonable attempts to contact you have failed, the firm may deal with the device in accordance with applicable law, including disposal or sale, after deducting any outstanding charges. We will always try to reach you before taking that step.
12. Customer Obligations
You agree to provide accurate information about the device and its history, including any prior repair, liquid exposure or modification. Hidden history is the most common reason a repair costs more than expected, and telling us early usually saves you money. You agree not to submit a device that is unsafe to handle, such as a pack that has visibly ruptured, without telling the bench first.
You agree to collect the device within the stated window, to pay the agreed charges and to treat the bench team with ordinary courtesy. The firm may decline further work where a customer behaves abusively or repeatedly provides misleading information.
13. Workmanship Coverage
The firm stands behind its workmanship. Parts installed by the bench carry a coverage period stated on the handover sheet, typically ninety days for labour and the supplier period for the part itself. Coverage applies to a fault that arises from the work performed, not to a new fault caused by a drop, liquid exposure or a repair attempted elsewhere.
To make a claim, contact the bench with the ticket number and a description of the problem. We will examine the device and, where the fault falls within coverage, we will correct it without charge. Where a device has been opened by another party after collection, coverage may be limited to the parts themselves, because the bench cannot verify the handling that followed.
14. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, the firm is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit, for loss of business or for loss of data beyond the steps specifically agreed in the scope note.
Where liability is established, the total liability of the firm in connection with a device is limited to the amount the customer paid for the work on that device, or the value of the device as recorded at intake, whichever is lower. This limit reflects the scale of the bench and keeps pricing honest for every customer.
The bench takes photographs and measurements at intake and handover precisely so that disputes about condition can be resolved from evidence. If you believe that a device has been damaged at the bench, please raise the matter before you leave the counter so that the photographs can be reviewed together.
15. Website Use and Content
The website is provided for information. We aim to keep it accurate, but we do not warrant that every description, price band or timeline is current at the moment you read it. Service descriptions are working notes, and a specific quotation is the document that governs your repair.
You agree not to attempt to disrupt the website, to gain unauthorised access to any system, to scrape content at a volume that affects availability, or to use the content in a way that misleads another person. The contact form uses your own mail program to send a message; you are responsible for the content that you choose to send.
16. Intellectual Property
The text, layout, illustrations and code of the website belong to Lingzhiying Technology Limited or are used with permission. You may read, print and share a page for personal or internal business reference. You may not republish substantial content as your own, resell it, or use the firm name in a way that suggests a partnership that does not exist.
Diagnostic methods, recording templates and the structure of the batch ticket are part of the working practice of the bench. They are shared with customers in the form of a handover sheet for that customer, not licensed for commercial reuse.
17. Privacy and Personal Data
The handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of the overall agreement and should be read together with these terms. The policy explains what data is collected, why it is used, how long it is kept and how you can exercise your rights. Where these terms and the Privacy Policy appear to differ on a data matter, the Privacy Policy controls for that matter.
18. Force Majeure
The firm is not liable for a delay or failure caused by an event beyond reasonable control. Such events include severe weather, typhoon warnings, transport disruption, utility failure, supplier failure, labour disruption, epidemic control measures and any act of a public authority. Where such an event occurs, the bench will contact affected customers, explain the position and agree a new target date as soon as practical.
A force majeure event does not remove the obligation to pay for work already completed, but it does suspend the timeline for that work until the event has passed.
19. Suspension and Termination
Either side may stop work before completion. If you stop the work, you are responsible for charges for work already performed and for any part that was ordered with your approval and cannot be returned. If the firm stops the work, it will be for a clear reason such as an unsafe device, a discovered ownership issue or a legal obligation, and we will explain that reason in writing.
Where work is stopped, the device is returned in the condition recorded at the point of stopping, and the ticket is closed with a note explaining what was done. The coverage and liability sections of these terms continue to apply after closure.
20. Disputes and Governing Law
We would much rather settle a problem at the bench than in a formal process. If you are unhappy with a repair, a valuation or a charge, please contact us first with the ticket number and a short description of the issue. We will review the record, the photographs and the measurements with you and propose a remedy.
If a dispute cannot be resolved by discussion, it will be governed by the laws of Hong Kong and the courts of Hong Kong will have jurisdiction. Before starting formal proceedings, both sides agree to attempt a good faith resolution for at least thirty days. Nothing in this section prevents either side from seeking urgent relief where the law allows it.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms when the bench changes its services, when parts practice changes or when the law requires an update. The effective date at the top of the page shows the version in force. For an active ticket, the version that applied when the work was approved continues to govern that work.
22. Contact
Questions about these terms should be sent to the bench desk. Please quote your ticket number where one exists so that the response can be specific rather than general.
